I can see both sides to why it should be changed back, and why it shouldn't.
Why it should.
The old players of Foxcraft have been loyal and been there from the start. They want the old prison. New players wouldn't care too much if it was one map or the other, so you're not losing players from that aspect. And knowing what you do now in 2017, you can even make it better than what it was and still give all the people that want the old prison back satisfied. I can't speak for others, but I find it unfun that sharpness 5 and prot 4 and gapples are not rare anymore. You get around 8 gapples just from a /kit. I don't think that's right. I find the first prison to be the best because you actually had to work and grind for just simple things to pvp in. On another note, you also had active guards on the server. Which as much as people hate being pvp-blocked by guards. It still is a important thing for A PRISON server. Another thing I liked about the old map is that you had to usually walk everywhere, now on this map. You can teleport almost everywhere. Before you would have to walk through the majority of the paths and forcefully encounter the bad guys and gang that want to shank you. Now, you can just /warp everywhere. I'm a bit two faced on this opinion because I Believe after a bit of a nooby being harassed by a diamond guy, you should be able to avoid it. But At the same time I don't want full p4 people avoiding pvp just because. One last thing about the map that many others will probably disagree about, but I liked the line camping. I found it thrilling that you can escape death if you're just quick enough, or stealthy enough. But now, if you go out there, and get hit. You're fucked. I get that that's what it's supposed to do, but I never liked it :v.
Why it shouldn't.
The new round of players of Prison have donated, and donated for what they seen. It would be unfair to them to just take away what they donated for just because old players want the non pay to win prison back. The maps look a bit better now, and there is new and better sufficient plugins that work better and makes the game more convenient. And tbh I wouldn't be suprised if the staff in general didn't have the old map anymore. It's old. It's like 2013. That's 4 years ago. If they don't have it, we would have to rebuild it. Idk about other people but I would help to gather videos of the old server to literally build it 1:1 scale of it.
What I would do.
If I was the owner of Foxcraft, I would try to figure out what the player base is. See how many old players are still currently playing the new one. If it's around half and half then I would suggest having a suggestion period for a month where players say what they donated for and what they still want. And compromise how to make it like the old server, but not rip away there donation perks. If it were to come down to a lot of donors didn't want what they would get on the (New) Old prison. Then you could give them a rank transfer. If it was 25% old players and 75% new players. I think I would see how the new players felt about it. If they didn't mind, I would try out the old servers till, but with all the donation perks. If somehow it was 75% old players and 25% new players. Then I think it's obvious that you should switch it back.
