Closed Suggestion: Allow us to use the word Gay

For which gamemode is this suggestion:
Allow us to use the word Gay

Description of suggestion:
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community I feel you should let us use the word “Gay” and other words that has to do with the LGBTQIA+ community. No, this doesn’t mean the use of “Faggot” “Fag” and “f4g” and other homophobic word variation needs to be uncensored but the words like Gay and Lesbian aren’t bad words so why are we treating like it is? I find it ridiculous that our community is being limited in using the word that describe us. I’ve spoken to many players about this who like to vote for the uncensorship because it’s not a bad word.

Possible side effects of suggestion:
I know that there will be players who might use the word Gay as an insult but that’s why we have staff members, They are able to moderate the chat and give players their deserved consequence, I feel like homophobia and racism should be treated more strictly as suicide rates are high in the minor communities for LGBTQIA+ and people who deal with racism. We need to help our community and not allow bullying to spread.

I respect the hell out of you Ronnie, but you're being ignorant. The point you made about people declaring themselves as straight proves that.

Gay people have had to continually fight for their rights. They're often killed in some places, so thus don't declare it. Being gay is not a bad thing, and any player using it in a bad context will hopefully receive punishment.

You can't just -1 on the basis that players are inevitably going to use it in a negative light. You in fact should be up in arms for its uncensoring.

Still, love ya man. Just think you're wrong on this one.
 
I Agree. I am gay myself, and when people ask me if i im (because of my name) I Cannot say im gay i got to say im apart of the LGBT some of the People who play minecraft dont know what that means so i got to tell them look it up. i believe we should be able to say it.

Lets make Vote. If you agree press the "Winner" If you disagree than press the "Optimistic"
 
I Think you should be allowed to say it using it in a mature manner and not being directing to towards others to “make fun of players”. If context is fine then saying it is fine.

+1 It’s obviously such a common insult, so that’s why we can’t. But like Yoahi said, it’s either mute or no mute depending on the way you’ve used it
