Description of suggestion
Give resigned staff members (Mod+) some sort of retired rank or icon in-game. We have a role on the forums and discord so why not ingame?

Possible side effects of suggestion
Give former staff members some credit ingame for the work they did.

+1, after all the work you put in to help and improve the server, you should have some kind of recognition. The downside, is someone would see the "Resigned Staff" tag and they would still treat you as a staff, and I feel like you would still be asked questions as if you were a staff. I don't know but, +1

I've personally suggested this before and believe it is a cool idea and it would be nice for those who spent hours upon hours volunteering their time for this community. I believe when I suggested it, it was denied for the reason of "why make a special rank for retired staff because they usually quit and dont come back often afterwards" which is true in a lot of ways but still+1

Even on the forums retired staff should be the old "Retired Staff" light blue tag, really popped out and the "Friend" tag is kinda not really noticeable.

I somewhat agree with this. In my situation I devoted a lot of my time into this server and would like a reward but I also could care less. However some retired people in my opinion do not deserve it. There would have to be requirements for your time as staff such as rank, time spent, how much you actually contributed. For me I would personally just like a specific rank so that I don't seem like some random member of Foxcraft. Maybe there should be some way to apply for a retired staff rank such as there is applying youtube ranks were Cloak and Justin and Admins can look at this and decide if the person actually deserves it. I'm not asking for a donator rank or anything that will make me better. I just don't want to seem like a normal member because I'm not. I contributed to the community and helped out the server for nearly a year. I would settle for a rank that maybe has a few benefits like nickname, colored chat just stuff that doesn't give me an advantage but just makes me look cool. I would certainly play a lot more if I had this rank. You could make the rank title "Freind" or "Retired" and probably in blue so that the color doesn't get mixed up with actual staff. This would be very good for fox to actually reward good staff members and maybe even motivate players to be a staff member which would cause some people to be less toxic and more helping towards the community. +1 for me

I devoted my time to making you a non-random

I also believe that people can lose this rank if they do something bad

This is so dumb lol. Retired staff are retired for a reason. What purpose does resigning have if you just get mod+ or something else, you’ll just get new players confused as who is staff and who isn’t. If you really would want some credit, I’d suggest changing it from a separate rank to just basic global ‘foxking or foxqueen’.

I mean if you were to make a role such as "Retired" and cut out the staff bit I guess? But that just makes you look old lol
I'll +1 for the sake that I can lol. I'm a member on most of the servers so when I log on sometimes I don't get seen by people who probably would like to see me.

No, cloakfox struggles to fix bugs and add new additions to gamemodes like Survival as it is Survival is in chaos, because he's busy or working on other gamemodes. He shouldn't be using up that valuable time configuring ranks for Mods who 'volunteered' because it's a voluntary job. And when you volunteer, you don't expect payments or rewards, which is why there's no payments. Having a friend rank on discord and foxcraft isn't even necessary by the terms of the rank.

In basic form, he should be working on more urgent things before anything like this is considered -1, I understand staff do jobs for the server, but it's hard to support this when there's people flying around on Survival with tens of millions on a 'vanilla' server.

I get where you're coming from. It is pretty unnecessary, but it's kind at the very least.
It also doesn't take much effort to configure a rank. It'd take like 5 minutes to write it, and then on the next server reboot it'd update. It's a couple of lines on an essentials file.
But yeah completely unnecessary, but it's a nice thing.

He means it as retired staff have to be Mods or over (its actually sr. Mod and above now) to get the retired rank. Not to give retired staff a tag that says mod+. It had me confused at first too because of the wording.
I mean it could be a time based thing too, but that's a whole other suggestion in and of itself lol

I meant you get a tag if you were a Sr. Mod or higher when you were staff.
