So what you're suggesting is if someone spots a hacker, they just type /report (ign)? If so that would not be a good plugin to add. Players could easley abuse the command and report players for absolutely nothing. Hense wasting the staffs time.

If you abuse the command you should get a warning and on the third warning you should get an 10 minute tempban.

10 minute tempban, and after that tempban? They do it again...and again...and so on. Not to mention it wastes the staffs time having to check all the people reported. Also how are we supposed to tell if it's a false report? Maybe the player reported WAS hacking but stopped, and we just warn the reporter not knowing if it was a false report?

Every other big server has this. If we are to get rid of hackers, then we need this. Flawed or not, it works for other servers, and it will most likely work for us.

You know our community though...and how they like to give the staff a hard time. Not to mention is doesn't always work on other servers, they have many flaws as well. Also we already have a report section on the forums that is more then efficient enough.

Someone who has just come to the server, as an example, would not make a forums account for the sole reason of reporting someone.

With the amount of players we have on each server, there is more than likely to be at least 1 person who has a forums account that can report a hacker...I mean it's worked for about 5 years now no? Why change something efficient to something that can be abused?

First off, it isn't efficient. People don't go out of their way to report a hacker. That's just not how people work. And for the "abuse" topic, how is this command different than other commands on the server, or even posting multiple report threads for that matter?

Every day there is 10+ reports on the forums sabo...and you're saying people don't report?...Someone needs some glasses <3 next up, abuse. In my time as a staff member, I've never seen someone post more then 1 report on the same person unless they make a mistake on the first report. If this command was added, we'd have to deal with players false reporting others and continuously spamming it. Those false reports are what we have to look at, take time out of our days to watch possible hackers just to see nothing and have the same report from the same person over and over and over again. Anyways, I'm done with this topic, it's childish now to be honest, want to talk more, talk with me on slack.

I agree with @C2Obezerk // Zerky 100%. This would really just waste the Staff's time, constantly watching this one player who could possibly be hacking. Most of the time they probably won't even be hacking. If it's as easy as just typing "/report (name)", then all those hackusations that are going around all the time, (and yes, I mean ALL the time) would just become a giant pile of reports that the Staff would still need to find evidence of. I truly believe that this plugin would do nothing but slow down our Mods and Admins, who are doing great as they are.

This is a good idea because ppl like me that r lazy and never make reports can EZ get staff to ban em all.

And if a player is trollin they can get punished ez. They can also get much roasted!

The punishment for a first false report should be a 1 hour temporary ban. Second offense, a second 1 hour temporary ban. Third offense, day ban. Fourth offense, week ban. Fifth offense, month ban. Sixth offense, year ban. Seventh offense, perm ban. Or, ya know, you could just permanently ban for the third ban, maybe replacing second false report with a day-long ban.

I am lazy as ****, and don't want to make a report. /report would be a great idea. But that you need a member rank so not every noob can report. (I know you can easely make a forum account) For the spam thing you can only report the same player once. You can only report 3 times a dat or something with a hour cooldown. On groups abusing this command I have no idea for a solition.
