Title Reconsider Redstone Clock Remover on OneBlock
Description of suggestion
Oneblock is different from Survival:
Redstone clocks were primarily an issue on Survival due to large-scale farms and lag concerns. On Oneblock, the scale and mechanics are different, so the same restrictions aren’t necessary.
No significant lag impact:
In practice, redstone clocks on OneBlock do not create noticeable server lag compared to Survival. Limiting them here is essentially restricting gameplay without addressing an actual issue.
Unfair advantage for experienced players:
Many higher-level players are already aware of bypass methods, meaning they can continue using clocks while newer players are stuck without access. This creates an unfair gap and discourages newer players from experimenting with redstone.
Limits creativity and progression:
Redstone is a core part of Minecraft’s creative and technical side. By removing functional clocks, players lose the ability to automate, experiment, and progress naturally on Oneblock.
Possible side effects of suggestion
Positive:
More automation options → Players can build more farms and contraptions.
Higher player satisfaction → Less frustration from broken builds.
Fairer gameplay → Removes the current “secret knowledge” advantage for veterans.
More engaging gamemode → Encourages redstone learning and long-term investment in the server.
Negative:
Slight risk of misuse → Some players may spam clocks unnecessarily.
Possible small performance dips if many players abuse it (though evidence shows this hasn’t been an issue).
Staff may need to handle the occasional report of laggy builds, rather than relying on automatic removal.
