Title Revitalize the Fishing Economy: Remove "Caught By" Tags & Restrict Minion Fishing
Description of suggestion
Core Issue:
The "Caught by [insert user]" tag on fish creates unnecessary item fragmentation. Because fish caught by different people or by minions stack separately, players cannot effectively trade, stock, or buy/sell fish through player fish shops. Furthermore, allowing minions to catch custom fish has oversaturated the market and devalued the fishing economy.
Proposed Changes:
1. Remove the "Caught by..." tag entirely from fish items so that identical fish can stack properly again.
2. Disable minions from all catching custom fish to protect the economy and ensure manual fishing remains a viable, profitable money-maker for players at all stages.
Context:
When the fishing economy was balanced, the Survival server regularly saw around 70 active players. Currently, new players struggle to find accessible ways to make money, often hitting a paywall or being unable to afford entry costs. Restoring the fishing economy will give newcomers a reliable starting grind and help revitalize the active player base.
Possible side effects of suggestion
Pros: Revitalized player-to-player economy, viable starter income for new players, and fixed item stacking.
Cons: Minion owners will no longer passively farm custom fish but the fact that they are able to makes custom fish worthless anyway.
TL;DR
Fixing fishing on the server = More players
More players = MORE MONEY FOR CLOAK WOW!
