Description of suggestion
God almighty bring back the original 2016 / 2017 skyblock yall turned the **** into a plugin server, Theirs literally like 4 to 10 active. but back in 2017 their were over 300 trying to play i logged in a few days ago and was like holy **** its dead, and when i was in skyblock hub its like someone done vomited the hub all in 1 spot , its super detailed , and hard to navigate no one likes a complex spawn entry where they cant see sale ,buy merchants or tell what anything is at first glance.

Things people want to see again or things that had a big impact in skyblock player population

Dont modify hoppers, leave vanilla values, once you did this a bunch of the big cheeses ' in skyblock left, aswell as their brownnose followers, that was the big hit to the server i noticed over 60 leave.

Dont modify spawners, kids actually liked placing 400 of them in 1 area,even if they didnt work past 16 blocks distance
They were purposely trying to make you get plugins for stacking , look where skyblock is now its dead those dutch cucks dont even play their "dream skbylock" anymore. they got you to make it so heavily modified that everyone just left.

no mob stacking, this ruined mob farms and made XP farming so much harder then it had to be. at this point that entity clear plugin was being underused, and you had 2to3 plugins dealing with entities at that point. i know the one timei had over 3000 pigs on my island, and this is when Everything got dramatic and the nerfing started, But no one Ever considered i had 286 spawners on 15 grass blocks.... i spent over 10m$ on that build. not to mention it was a ex staff , that you also removed from my island and got my island deleted years ago that made the idea What if it didnt kill pigs but let them spawn , i removed lava to see and it was spawning almost 3000 pigs it was like wow, he then took that and reported it getting you to add Mobspawner limits, and mobspawner stacking.... Redstone timer nerfing.... hopper nerfing... you took so much into consideration but the server only went downhill from there. those kids Made you add plugins , Hince why they tried so hard to get staff / mod / admin privelages is to get you to take Higher consideration in their ideas instead of keeping it vanilla like the rest of the server wanted. probably if it were the same way it was back in 2016 after the 1.7 update it would still be a populated server.

i can understand the redstone nerf, but what should have happened instead of nerfing it , is kids who overabused it should have been dealt with. kids who abused hopper reset mechanics, with timers to make hoppers work in overtime, should have been gamebanned for 2 weeks they were the ones lagging the server, he was the one who had hoppers in the center of his base pumping items Upwards with a hopper clock elevator, Even those on survival are almost impossible to use because of lag, the fact he had it going up almost 200 blocks just to dump into chest was horrible for the server and he would afk farm, so our screams about lag went on deaf ears, as he sat afk. And he never complained yet knew what was going on. 99% of the lag was him, He would login and the server would Die, around that time you put a timer nerfon redstone and he left. but the server had a low pop and was only getting lower as stuff like redstone was being broken every 2 / 3 weeks. i was quick to find a way to maybe fix it and help the maybe 20 friends that still played, but then a redstone disable plugin was put in. to disable Any fast recacting redstone torches were almost immediately shut off if they tried to do a t- flip function witch is the very basics of redstone a bunch of them ran off to hypixel once this happened because Mob farms almost immediately halted in fast production. at this point you had to spend a unholy ammount of Cash on a spawner, and the population was low, their was no economy , it was just bad no one could make cash, to get spawners. their was No auction market . their was no stocks, everything stayed same price when the pop was like 20 online. no one could do anything.

it may sound stupid, but clicking that Sale sign in spawn was the best way to limit how Large players made their cactus farms, their should have never been a sell all plugin added , this made players want to make the biggest farm and the idea of being considerate to others did not apply to Anyone anymore they built the biggest laggiest shitfest on their island they could, most of the lag issue was kids overbuilding because they could sell their items quickly. instead of regulating a nights worth of selling material to 3 hours straight of running from their island and selling once that was added, it went downhill aswell.

dont make entities stack like they were, Pork farms glass item elevators were ruined once you made entities stack i know it sounds stupid but once that happened a good portion of players left, And came back months later. it had a impact on gameplay for sure. not to mention you had entity clearing timers, shouldnt have added 2 plugins for 1 issue not to mention once item stacking was enabled.... and you put that entity block to where they wouldnt move unless you were like3 blocks from it, it ruined glass elevators, Making those few kids resort to using redstone and not knowing their lag effects on large scale 200+ blocks high builds and thats what caused the whole server to die every night when they would login, making you nerf Both entities and redstone at the same time.

Foxking, foxqueen ranks Should have never gotten /god or /fly at this point it made the game pay to win. Even their /kit was stupid nobody liked trying to beg for a good armor set just to lose it in a pvp arena.or to see that they cant repair it so they beg a high rank for /repair.
i dont mind repair but i think all ranks , should have gotten it so people wouldnt just spam chat for someone to repair their weapon. and that was toxic to everyone who actually had that command making them not want to play. maybe make it vote enabled. where unless they vote, they wont get the /repair function.

kids liked the custom items, But they should have Never been a item you pay almost 30$ for just to see it disapear forever on a server wipe. once the wipes happened and alll those kids Practically got scammed of their minions , custom eff 7 picks... they stopped playing completely at this point it was on you, and that 80% sale **** after someone spent almost 40$ on a item while someone spends 4$ for that Exact item shouldnt have happened, that alone is a form of bisnuess i heavily dislike, also a big reason a bunch left. probably if they had their items upon the skyblock update they would still be online and playing.

ore plugin was also FAT hype. this would be a almost required plugin on a skyblock but the ores need to be difficult to get, not as heavily common as it was when the plugin was first introduced.

Even if you want to test this idea, of Original skyblock make it on another server like skyblock 2 and see how many actually come back. but it has to have that original skyblock vibe, No plugins no server side modifying other then like entity clear, /ah .... /tp / trade /repair /vote /home /warp /wwarp "welcome" on a sign. Clicking items on a chest to sell it easier , literally Just like it was at the servers prime before you started going heavy into game config modifications

Possible side effects of suggestion
lots of work, unless you have backups of the original way skyblock was years ago.
And maybe player increase.
 
As a fellow OG I know the nostalgia all written above. However since time changed nothing can be particularly done unless the suggestion gets accepted.
Few downsides are that most players from back in time are either banned or quitted playing as example factions.

Anyway, if there's a small chance to experience the nostalgia again with or without old friends it would be awesome

You can play skyblock classic by typing /sglacier or /sclassic or use the server navigator if you prefer the old stuff.

This post is more of a rant of how you like the old things, mostly nostalgia playing a role of course.

We've seen suggestions like these happen for other gamemodes too, I get persuaded to revert back to old ideas, it has never worked out. Ever.

If you don't like it then it's time to move on. The people working on this server want to be moving forward not back in time.

Extra: I appreciate the time you've taken to make this suggestion but if you plan on making new ones I suggest you come up with more concrete stuff that can be improved on current setups, instead of talking about the good ol days.

The things you are suggesting are impossible to achieve in the current state of Minecraft. Server performance has tanked since 1.9 onwards and the game will not be play-able without lag if there are no mechanics in place to prevent lag from happening. Like merging mobs or making hoppers slower (but take more items per check). We feel pretty confident that our server provides close to vanilla mechanics in terms of redstone, machines and other stuff and is playable.

Minecraft has changed, the community has changed and the server has changed. We row with the pedals we got. We can't please everyone but we try our best to please the most.

I hope you and others who will read this can respect that.
