Description of suggestion
You might think this is stupid at first, but just imagine plots kitpvp. Before you click off, you might be thinking that the only use of plots is for creative building but, the idea of what I think it can be used for is a thriving economy. Sell signs would be the main source of buying and selling items in your own plot (here is what I'm talking about - https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/signshop). You can gain these items from either fishing, pvp, or the mob arena (this is key). The mob arena will be the main source of gaining items and using those to craft things that you would use in your plot. The items gained from the arena might need to be tweaked a little for it all to would out but in the end, I think this would make kitpvp more original and tons of fun to play (good marketing cover as well, I think it will draw in a lot more interested players). A few more thing to add, and hear me out, mcmmo. And I'm not saying let people 1 shot with 1000 mcmmo axes/swords, I'm talking about herbalism and fishing. (in a way, mcmmo does make the gamemode more of a grind and some people think kitpvp should be the exact opposite of that. This is why I think offensive skills should be disabled and make plots a prerequisite for passive skills (fishing, herbalism, excavation)) The last point I want to make is the auction house and the main form of currency apart from /bal. The prices of diamonds may need to be adjusted because they are obtainable with a high enough excavation and I'm not sure if you can get them from the arena but that might need to be considered as well (what I'm saying is, diamonds should be traded lightly since they are naturally the rarest item). The auction house sort of contradicts the whole sell shop thing OR it can be looked at as a quick way to trade with other players. And for that maybe there should be a tax with every trade from the /ah? I'm not sure about all of the details but if you guys actually consider this then I would be more than happy to colab on the idea and make it happen ([email protected]).

Possible side effects of suggestion
-Some crafts may have to be restricted, such as strength 2 or other things that can make people unstoppable.
-The current kits might have to be adjusted

There is literally no KitPvP at the moment and maybe adding some unique features can change the player count and interest some players.
