  • *Is your suggestion for the server and/or forum: Server.
  • *For which gamemode is this suggestion: All.
  • *Description of suggestion: To make hackusating mutable/warnable (unless they're joking around) countless amounts of times I've seen people shout out "Johney128 hacks ban him" then the hacker proceed to leave the game or toggle, and it is highly frustrating trying to do your job as a staff member or even a regular player attempting to get a hacker banned when players call them out then they toggle or leave. Players should have to use their common sense and privately message a staff member or get the player banned themselves via recording, instead of feeding hackers the attention they want.

Example: "XxTacosxX: Johney123 hacks ban him staff!!!"
XxTacosxX then would then be warned. He'd receive another warning if he proceeds to do the same thing, then after 2 warnings he'd be muted for 10 minutes (this is just example of what the punishment could be)

  • Possible side effects of suggestion:No people being annoying by hackusating just because the player is better than them, also will mean no hackers get out of their punishments because another player has alerted them of staff presence etc.

This would be a nice feature that I think would help, however I don't know if their should be a punishment for it and or what it would be. Maybe if it were possible to get a plugin like badlions where people cant hackusate.

Also ksm, why don't you post your suggestions on slack, they will be seen a lot faster and is easier for everyone.

I'd make it punishable if done in excess (The parameter of which the Staff team can discuss constitutes)

For example lets make the base number be 3 in this case;

''[Player] is hacking'' - the first incident in my opinion should warrant a verbal warning. Telling the player not to accuse people of hacking, and that instead they should post what evidence they have of this claim to the forums, sure it would make life a little harder for Staff but it'd perhaps dumb down the amount of it.

The second time it happens, kick them from the server (or whatever disciplinary action the Staff agree to do at the second time of doing so) temp mute for 5 minutes maybe?

Finally if they do it again, you mute them again but this time permanently.

Because this suggestion not only effects the staff, but players of foxcraft. And I want it to be seen by everybody staff and original names.

I agree on part with people talking directly to staff and telling them to ban, but I don't really agree on general hackusation, such as "soandso is a hacker" because any player could do it while a staff is online/offline and not interfere with their duties. Now, someone alerting a hacker that they're being watched or to stop hacking because staff are on deserves a first time mute or temp ban.

So why not implement a plugin where you cant hackausate? EZI PIZI

I agree fully on this suggestion.

On another note, I would love to see something implemented like an in-game /report (player) (reason) command that would notify a staff who's online at the time so they could go and check it out. Players who would abuse this command for jokes, or just stupidity would be severely punished. Perhaps when the report is being looked at, the staff could type a command such as /report accept to let the player who reported them know it's being handled so they don't continue to try.

Overall that's a good idea but no way that would be worth a perm mute

It was merely an example.

I totally agree with you that it wouldn't be a perm mute.

The Staff team can all mutually agree the punishments and such.

Maybe a 1 week mute to whoever abuses and trolls the command
