Closed Major Updates to Skyblocks [poll included]

Skyblock [Vulcan] [Australia] [GMT+10:00HRS]

  • *Description of suggestion:
    [][][] well it's been a bit since Skyblocks has had a major update so i was thinking of a few suggestions that could go to Skyblock:
    []-Updating the server to 1.9 or 1.10 but due to 1.11 coming i recommend 1.11 (1.11 launches around 23/09/2016) comes with Elytras, Duel wielding, shields, Enderdragon heads, New nether blocks and more over world and ender blocks and items as well.
    []-Island Settings - make it so you can change your island settings do /is settings
    []-have a new /spawn doesn't have to be a different design just different blocks to the normal ones
    []-a command where you can do /1v1 or something so you can do a 1v1 battle in pvp with unequal gear, because /duel is too short.
  • Possible side effects of suggestion:
    [1.9+ Pvp requires skill not so much people will like that]
    [Island Settings people could enable pvp on their island and make death traps]
    [Some people might not like the new design]
    [well its pvp its never fair but /duel would become useless]

An update is needed badly.
The mechanics of redstone and pistions are completely different in the newer updates plus there are newer blocks.


Best update would be for 1.11 but might be too new for the skyblock.

no if it does get updated to 1.9+ nobody will play skyblock anymore lol.

because everyone cares about the pvp and they have no skill that's why, all updates lower than 1.9+ don't need skill, all you need is to click very fast and get your. and 1.9+ allows immortality to Bows with Shields and doesn't everyone hate it when they get bow spammed.
 
so they should make a 3rd server for those who want to update. not all skyblock players are in to PVP.
 
Servers cant be lagging and be behind the times.
they need to be at the fore front of the crowd.
staying at 1.7 when 1.11 is coming out is suicide due to the fact that most players these days use the auto update client,
I have 3 kids that play minecraft... if the server is not compatible with latest client then they lose out.

Not all players know how to change client versions.. or even want too.

maybe Vulcan could be 1.9+ and Glacier not 1.9+ maybe that could be it.

Yes Vulcan needs an update more than glacier but i seriously believe that a new updated server is needed but will need updated coding... skyblock is too far behind.. coding wise.

How many times do I have to tell you people that combat cooldowns can be DISABLED?




Just make the compatibility like creative where you can still block with swords and a shield comes up. The new blocks show up as stone to people in earlier versions.

The point of a 1v1 is for EQUAL gear to make it FAIR. If you can't fight fairly, what's the use of trying to prove your skills if you can't fight fairly?

it makes it possible to dodge attacks, so its hard and yet easier, plus axes are nerfed if its 1.9+ with the cool-downs so its easier to live from axes [axes are way to op in mcmmo].
