Thoughts? - Player Specific Item Textures (Resource Pack)

i'm curious on peoples' thoughts on having an unofficial Foxcraft resource pack. ("Unofficial" meaning; not officially associated with/installed on the Foxcraft server, but instead community ran and hosted, for the Foxcraft community)

Using Optifine, you can add new item/armor/entity textures (not blocks) by renaming an item, without replacing the vanilla textures.
What if we had an unofficial, player created resource pack, where players can submit item textures (created by them) to be added to it, with the pack being updated to include new approved submissions every X amount of time?

Being *unofficial,* I could offer to manage it myself, assuming enough people were to use it, and as long as my unmedicated ADHD allows me to.

I am mainly asking players:
- Would you download this?
- Would you submit your own custom textures to be added?

And to the mods: just to clarify for certain, would this be allowed?

It sounds like an interesting idea. The only issue this may present is the possibility for it to spread among the players and have someone download it from someone else only to have it have a virus file included in the texture pack. I personally would not download it as I'm not a fan of texture packs but it definitely sounds like it would be interesting to see
