Description of suggestion
REMOVE CLEAR LAG FOR SURVIVAL

Clearlag actually increases lag overall. People realise that clearlag is a thing and therefore will throw junk on the ground instead of in lava or a cactus. This is due to having the knowledge of the items they throw on the ground will be removed within or less than 5 minutes and therefore increasing the overall entities on the server, increasing lag overall. If you are to remove clearlag, people would be more sensible with the items they do not want. And instead of throwing them on the ground (in their base) and having to wait 5 minutes for it to despawn, they will make lava and cacti bins. Also the "[disposal]" sign will become more commonly used, therefore making it less of a useless plugin. People when throwing their items on the ground, have a 5 minute chance to pick up each individual item rather than there being a huge server sweep every 5 minutes. Besides, after a player walks 16 blocks away from the item they have thrown on the ground, it visually disappears resulting in absolutely no lag for the player or server which is why clearlag is a pointless plugin and if anything, hinders the server and the player over actually helping the server and the player.

This is what poor unneeded changes are being added to survival. @iBrady actually listen to the community and fix this, Clazzo actually lost stuff that he paid real-life money for, do a rollback and remove your clearlag that nobody asked for.

People have asked for clearlag to be removed for this very reason, I've lost a lot of items when I've killed players in combat and what not. There are no big scale farms that cause lag because of a lot of entities. Clazzo's items should be returned or the world rolebacked, as well as clearlag being completely removed, or improved to make sure this doesn't happen.

Just gonna take a guess and say this will be denied lol, clearlag is meant to clear ALL items that's on the ground. Players will regardless still throw a lot of items on the ground. It may not be needed for survival as there isn't like auto spawners and stuff. but I still think it'll be denied.

Also it seems like everyone wants survival to be plain out vanilla (No plugins, shop etc). which isn't gonna happen lol, always gonna be plugins within the survival server

I honestly don't see the point in clearlag. Items disappear after 5 minutes anyway and the server doesn't clearlag them unless the chunk is loaded. Rather than making a fireplace to burn useless blaze heads, i always tossed them on the ground. Clearlag also takes up memory to run, increasing lag. It's also pretty annoying to be on the look out while mining because then i might lose stuff.
I once lost some gear because i got killed from lag and clearlag happened to eat it all 5 seconds after. That wouldn't have happened if I had a 5 minute window.

Clearlag does nothing. The server will only lag when players are within 16 blocks of the thrown items, which in turn will also lag the player. I doubt many people want to purposely lag. Besides, it only clears items that are currently loaded within a chunk a player is in. You said it's designed to remove all entities yet it does not.

I believe you should speak to a staff member about this situation, to check if you can get your item(s) back. You need to be more careful about when you're dropping or losing your equipment. If you're furious that you've lost your equipment. I would suggest putting them in a chest instead of leaving them around on the floor or whatever you've done to it. It happens to quite a few people on the server so you're not the only one it's happened to. But I see your point about clear lag, it does cause more lag to the area.. so +1

I believe you should speak to a staff member about this situation, to check if you can get your item(s) back. You need to be more careful about when you're dropping or losing your equipment. I mined my item as I said in the post. It immediately disappeared. The item I mined was a shulker box which stores items which I also stated in the post. I am a staff member too so I know that there is nothing that can be done to regain my lost items. Through this suggestion I am attempting to make sure it never happens to anyone else again on the server.

Minecarts being removed via clearlag has been fixed IIRC
