move it out of pvp players make it impossible for players to get it and hold it hostage just for PVP kills

It just got moved back to pvp today, its a good thing… Yes, players hold it hostage, and i don’t see how thats negative… Pinata has useful rewards that people want, and that brings people to pvp, without it, pvp would be dead.. And a dead pvp arena on a server that DOES indeed have a lot of pvp related stuff, is just weird… And no, your pro of “happier players”, exists just for builders and fishers, pvpers will not be happy…
 
The pinata having a 50/50 chance of either spawning in pvp or mobfarm is best in my opinion.
It was like that two days ago and I am not aware that it was changed in any way.
I understand that people holding the pinata hostage is disappointing and gets on people's nerves. But that is the reason why it now also sometimes spawns in the mobfarm. Personally, if I would be in your situation, I would brew (or buy) an invisibility potion and then the problem is solved.
Without pinata sometimes being in pvp, pvp is simply dead and could be removed with it. The really only case a bunch of people pvp is when pinata is active.
I would just leave it as 50/50 or 100% for mobfarm and create smth new for pvp.

Also lion pinata has crap loot except the spawn eggs, and those are mostly also bad...

if we do something like move it to the mob farm and as i saw in general earlier Zephy and LionClient were talking about making a better loot version for those who wanna pvp like give the pvp pinata more pvp orientated loot and let the other one go to mob farm for those who dont like to pvp
 
Exactly, I suggest making two pinatas. One in pvp and one in mobfarm. Both spawn once the goal is completed and both have the same health. The Mobfarm Pinata keeps the current lootpool and the pinata in pvp receives and extended lootpool with higher money amounts and a wider spawn egg lootpool. (Possible other drops like Ore Block etc.). If you achieve to hit one of the Pinatas you get a Pinata Key - if you hit both you still get only one. This change/addition would make both parties happy and contribute to more active pvp.

There is a MASSIVE difference between PvE players and PVP players.

If you are a PvE player, you are like that, for a reason. You Either dont like PVP, have no intrest, isnt good at it, etc. and shouldnt be forced to fight players, who have the experience, the gear, the enchants, and are only waiting for easy targets, who doesnt fight back.

The very best way to solve is, is to have two versions of it. 1 Pinata is safe, ie. the mobfarm.
The other is in PvP, and you gotta fight for it.

Piñata in my opinion should’ve stayed 50/50 as it gives new players an opportunity to get the rewards without being 1 shot by people who hold the piñata hostage because they want to PvP

Put it in a perspective like this, you are an entirely new player and you wish to progress, you hear about this thing called a piñata that gives okay rewards so you investigate. You discover that the piñata is exclusively in the pvp zone and you do not have the gear to fend those people off. Would you be willing to keep sacrificing deaths for a small chance of being able to hit the piñata to get the key? I know I wouldn’t. Purely because of the fact I do not want to be killed for a small chance of gaining something good. Starting out as a new player is incredibly hard and having access to the piñata in spawn gave those players an incentive to go for it.

If we’re going to keep piñata in PvP there needs to be something else that happens randomly to help out the new players

As for the pvp zone being “dead without the piñata” there’s nothing stopping people from pvping at any other instance during the day other than they just don’t feel like it. When I see piñata active and the pvp zone full of fully stacked players all teaming together to kill anyone that runs in to try and get the piñata, that just ruins my motivation to attempt hitting it
 
Alright alright, I've went ahead and updated it again.
Now it spawns between the mobfarm & pvp again, 50/50 chance.

Also improved the scoreboard messages this time.
 
i dont see the issue of pinata being in pvp, it was this for months. and u guys started crying just now, you guys had to cry instantly after the reset
Its new people making the complains, and you shouldnt be down playing it by saying "they're crying" it's insulting and shows a severe lack of respect. They have legit concerns, and if you cant participate in a adult debate or conversation, without being rude or condesending, you might want to rethink your replies.


the 50/50 is a decent option, but i do agree that there NEEDS to be SOMETHING in the pvp zone to help entice more players to enter. Just dont make it something that feels forced, like the pinata. Make a pvp, exclusive event.

Perhaps make a thread for people to write down their ideas, and legit ask the community itself, and see if any of the options are viable choices that might work out well?
