Gamemode
Hardcore?

Description of suggestion
I believe we should add a Hardcore gamemode, ( some people have said it used to be a thing but idk ) It would be like survival but it's a harder experience, PvP enabled and no claims ( or a way to break into claims ) and less hp But if you were to die be that by Mob, player or simply the environment you'd get banned from the gamemode for 24/48hours.

Possible side effects of suggestion
Positive:
- Players seeking a bigger challenge will enjoy this
- Something different from most servers! and i can bet there are playing searching for this style of gamemode
Negative:
- Might be weird to add

+1 i love having a challenge. I just disagree on the length of the ban. I don't think people wouldn't want to have to wait for 24/48 hours

That's fair, But i think if the punishment is pretty bad such as a long ban it puts more pressure/ stress on the players. if people think thats too long then i think 12hours would be good

+1 although as Pumpkin said the length of the ban is too long, I'd say about 1h-6h depending on how many times you die would be good.

It was an old game mode before and had a pretty decent player count. This should stimulate a new start for Survival players, who have been getting bored of Survival and deathbans should be 1h-2h-4h, etc. +1

I'd love to see a new gamemode which is hardcore. It has the faction aspect of making underground secret bases with no claims with the HCF aspect of deathbans, making it more challenging and stressful.

+1

I agree with this, this would be a fun addition to the server, though I wouldn't really want it to REPLACE any current ones we have.

+1 Normally, I'm not a fan of competitiveness, but I do think this could be a really cool idea and fun for a lot of people, including myself. I do think the first death ban should be an hour, maybe increasing the more times you die. That being said, there should be a cap on the number of hours. Say, the max hours you can be banned is only 12 even if you've died 43 times. (just to make it fair)

+1 for hardcore survival how it used to be years ago

For those who don't know what Hardcore Survival is
Hardcore survival is a game mode that was similar to Anarchy. There are a few differences
A few of them being death bans and the custom world generation on this game mode.

When joining this game mode you will start with 2 lives, so when you die twice you get auto-banned for 24 hours. (maybe change the timer depending on which rank they got.
People with ranks will have a reduced death ban time, so that results in a lower ban time.

(optional) features:
  • Teams
  • Custom world generation
  • Deathbans
  • Anti-Xray
  • Barebones survival
  • No claims
  • Raiding allowed
  • 1.8 PVP (1.15.2) HC survival world?
  • Decent world border (depends how many will play)
  • New rank names? (rabbit >wolf>fox)
  • New spawn (if there`s no spawn it can be build easily)
