Description of suggestion
There is this thing for ranked players ''/nick'' It makes it possible for donators to create custom name with custom collors. Sadly….People are using this to tpatrap/trick people rather than having a ''cool looking'' name. Each day I see this happen more and more. I really like the /nick command however if it gets used like this I would rather have the ability to use /nick removed than have people getting trapped, because of it.

''I am NOT referring to a total removal of this command!''

( or if it is possible, make sure you can't do nicks who look like the ign of other players/the nick of players in use. )

Possible side effects of suggestion
less players getting trapped bc of nicked players. Less people quitting because they lose their base/stuff .And less toxic people fighting in public chat over it.
It would also stimulate newer players from staying. Since they won't be trapkilled that easy no more.

-----------------------------
*A better sulotion would be allowing /nick, BUT whenever you tpa to someone it MUST show your own IGN, no matter what nick you are having.'' for example If my nick is banana123 and I tpa to someone it must say knightvincent requested a tpa''*
------------------------------

This way the cosmatic purpose will remain and doesn't have to be removed!
And if you are smart enough, you can still try to tpa-trap-kill people the old fashioned way!

I personally think this would be a great solution!!!

I would love your opinion on this!

Kind regards,
KnightVincent

(seppyboy11 btw) Let's be honest here.. if you die from a tp-trap you're fairly dumb and the tp-trapper is fairly *****.. but i do think that it should change. Perhaps the real name could show in the tpa request instead of the nickname. I would also like to see the staff stimulating PvP more in Kingdoms. With these traps on about 30 seconds from spawn it's impossible to really have a decent PvP experience. People just simply run and nothing ever happens. Please stimulate the PvP and i'm sure trapping won't be such an issue.

I totally see your point, yet I am referring to the /nick TPA trap, which is seperated from pvp/spawntraps, but I agree with that one

I'd personally say, make it so that /tpa requests use the ign of the sender instead of the nickname.
That would eliminate people changing their names to trick others. THAT is the change that needs to happen.

I don't agree with limiting the use of /nick though.

Just to add my opinion on this.
As /nick is a donator perk, using it to TP trap feels like an unfair advantage over non donators/abuse of a system for something other than it was intended.

I don't support complete removal, but this option makes a lot of sense.

Alternatively, allowing all players to use /tptoggle would be a reasonable way of preventing this. If you have a problem with it, you can turn off your tp requests and only enable when someone you've confirmed wants to tp.

This is definitely one of those hard lessons where you learn it once, and then are careful every time in the future. It sucks, and I think it does kind of drive newer players away from kingdoms, but it's not a must fix thing.

Also, to address Ambology's point,
Yes, TP trapping and killing is definitely a gameplay mechanic of kingdoms, but abusing a nickname system only some people have access to in order to fool your victim really doesn't feel like a mechanic that adds to the gamemode.

The suggestion I posted several days back about neutral kingdoms and pvp should take care of the trapping near spawn problem, it's located here if you want to read through it.

I fully agree with this one.

I agree with this, But tpa killing/trapping is allowed on kingdoms this defeats the whole point if this was added. Also you can do the command ./realname (nickname) so you can type that before you accept the tpa or do not accept the request at all.

Hhmm If there was more pvp nobody should trap but now we have to kill pssy to get more loot

It is also possible to grind/craft/enchant your own loot too.
Instead of using really bad ways to trick people and kill them for the loot THEY worked hard on.

heh... this is more of you victims fault for getting tp trapped in the 1st place since you accepted a tp request. plus you can hover over names/nicknames tp see who the user is. we also have /realname i mean its all been here.

I see that point only the real name works. Hovering over the name didn't show the real person for me tho. (idk if others can see it ), but It's not only on the ''victims'' to blame for accepting someone who looks like their friend with one tiny difference in the name. I Do think you have a point. But Can't blame it all on the victims.
