Title THE FISHING ECONOMY IS DROWNING

Description of suggestion
Fellow players,

Fishing used to be one of the most rewarding and engaging parts of the server. Tournaments were competitive, the economy was thriving, and events like last year's Crabmas brought the community together in a way no other activity could.
This year's Crabmas event was shaping up to be even bigger - a chance to celebrate, compete, and fish together. But now? The waters are empty.
Why? Because AFK minions have ruined it all.

What's Gone Wrong?

♦Tournaments are broken: Minions are pulling in hundreds of fish in minutes, leaving manual fishers - those who put in real effort - with no chance to compete.
♦The market is in chaos: Platinum and mythic fish are flooding the economy, destroying their value and making the hard work of fishing feel meaningless.
♦Fishing totems are useless: Minions are farming plats and mythics to upgrade fishing totems, but here's the irony - totems were meant to help manual fishers, and now fishing itself has no purpose.
♦Crabmas is dying: Last year's event brought the community together like never before. But with no one fishing this year, Crabmas risks becoming just another forgotten feature.

Here's the truth: Minions shouldn't catch anything above bronze tier fish.
Fish spawners are balanced because they only produce bronze fish. Minions were supposed to provide a passive, low-tier option - not completely outclass manual fishing by handing out platinum and mythic fish like candy.

How We Fix This:

1. Buff Manual Fishing: Make fishing rewarding for active players again by:
♦ Increasing catch rates for manual fishing.
♦Add special rewards like titles or cosmetics for top manual players.
♦Buffing Divine Judgement: Extend its duration or increase its effectiveness so players can reliably double their catches.
♦Buffing Combo Catcher: Improve the odds of catching platinums and mythics through manual fishing.

2. Fix Tournaments: Exclude minions entirely or severely cap their contributions so that active players can compete on a level playing field.

3. Restrict Minions to Bronze Fish Only: Just like fish spawners, minions should only be able to farm bronze-tier fish. This keeps them balanced as a passive income option while preserving the value of manual fishing for higher-tier catches.

Why This Matters:

Last year's Crabmas event was a huge success that brought players together, and this year's event was set to be even bigger. Fishing wasn't just about rewards - it was about fun, strategy, and community.
Now, the waters are empty. And the joy of fishing is gone. If we don't act now, we risk losing everything that made fishing great - and Crabmas along with it.

Possible side effects of suggestion
Positive Outcomes:

1. Revitalized Manual Fishing:
♦ Higher catch rates and skill buffs will make fishing more engaging and rewarding for active players.
♦Manual players will feel more motivated to participate in tournaments and events like Crabmas.

2. Restored Market Balance:
♦ Limiting minions to bronze-tier fish will slow the flood of platinums and mythics, stabilizing prices and restoring value to the fishing economy.
♦ Buffs to manual fishing will give players a reason to grind higher-tier fish again.

3. Fair Tournaments:
♦ Excluding or limiting minions in tournaments will level the playing field, encouraging more active participation.

4. Community Growth:
♦ A better fishing experience can bring the community back together, especially during events like Crabmas, making the server feel more alive and engaging.

Possible Side Effects:

1. Minion Users May Push Back
♦ Players who heavily invested in minions might feel the changes make their setups less valuable.
♦ Restricting minions to bronze-tier fish could create complaints from those who rely on them for income.

How to Mitigate:
♦ Emphasize that minions still provide a valuable passive option for beginners and casual players (just not at the expense of manual effort).
♦ Highlight that these changes are necessary to restore fairness and sustainability to the fishing economy.

2. Short-Term Market Adjustments
♦ Limiting minions could reduce the supply of platinums and mythics, temporarily spiking prices.
♦ Manual players may take time to fill the supply gap.

How to Mitigate:
♦ This isn't necessarily a bad thing! Higher prices could actually reward manual fishers more and encourage participation.

3. Potential Power Imbalance Between New and Veteran Players
♦ Buffing manual fishing could widen the gap between high-level players and beginners who haven't yet developed skills or upgraded totems.

How to Mitigate:
♦ Add low-skill catch rate buffs to ensure new players aren't left behind.
♦ Ensure minions remain a viable option for casual or low-level players to farm bronze fish passively.
